    Christopher & Banks is hiring an Accessories Buyer for our Corporate office located in Plymouth, MN!


    The Accessories Buyer is responsible for planning balanced assortments that deliver the department financial plans for all categories, classifications, channels, climates and sizes, with direction from the Sr. Buyer. This position works in tandem with vendors and others in the merchandising group to drive results; partners closely with the Planning and Allocation teams to improve profitability.  


    How you will spend your time...

    • Translate brand vision to product assortment. Create, develop, and manage assortment for all channels, brands, and sizes to ensure balance, outfitting and brand integrity is achieved. Interpret and react to current business trends. 
    • Analyze historical data, manage all aspects of procurement, recommend revisions and forecasts and deliver financial results within the Company goals. Establish assortment line plan with cross-functional partners.
    • Contribute to the development of merchandising strategies utilizing historical data, competition, vendors and trend for each season.  Partner with the Planners to develop open-to-buy within an assortment that supports the strategy of stock positioning for key categories, classifications, channels, climates and sizes.
    • Manage to production calendar deadlines with internal and external partners to ensure timely delivery of product.
    • Develop, train and support direct reports to ensure understanding and growth in business acumen and the customer.
    • Occasional overnight travel.
    • Direct reports include Assistant Buyer(s).

    What you will need to be successful....


    Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Business or equivalent experience




    • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience with a mix of buying and planning
    • Specialty store merchandising experience preferred
    • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience



    • Knowledge of retail planning and allocation
    • Strong market awareness and ability to assess customer and trends
    • Strong analytical, financial and negotiation skills
    • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to interact at an executive level
    • Ability to build and maintain strong cross functional partnerships
    • Ability to mentor, train and develop Assistant Buyers
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
