    Christopher & Banks has an inspiring opportunity for a high-energy SVP – Chief Stores Officer who is committed to driving a winning sales culture along with delighting our customer.  A women’s specialty retail company founded in 1956 and headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, Christopher & Banks operates almost 500 stores nationwide.     The SVP of Stores will be responsible for setting the strategy and driving execution of best practices for the retail organization.  They are charged with creating a service and selling culture through defining the vision, developing performance metrics and stewarding adoption at all levels of the organization.  With a compelling vision and clear strategy, this executive will lead, motivate and instill excellence in the store organization.  They will understand the importance of creating a seamless omni-channel experience and will positively impact all customer touch points in their shopping journey.


    Your contribution to the team includes:

    • Love and believe in the Christopher & Banks brand.
    • Direct the execution of the strategic sales plan through collaboration with cross-functional business partners, aligning on brand strategy, customer needs, and competitive positioning to achieve the Company’s sales and profit goals. 
    • Develop a world class organization around talent assessment, recruiting and developing a customer centric culture.
    • Create and insure implementation and execution of visual merchandising standards.
    • Ensure the appropriate measurements and scorecards are developed in order to drive P&L accountability and performance. 


    Skills crucial to success in this role: 

    • Minimum 15 years of progressive retail management including corporate retail leadership experience in a sales-driven culture
    • Proven track record of hiring, developing and mentoring a high performance team.
    • Successful track record of leading a retail store organization through clear vision, metrics and development of team.
    • Possesses a positive, contagious energy that will inspire others.
    • Strong executive presence
    • Ability to build and leverage strong cross-functional partnerships
    • Demonstrated change management and business transformation skills


    Position requires overnight travel up to 40%.
